Poem 17: Grim
GrimA happy ending
is a story abandoned
at the right time.*
In a castle where everyone knows their place,
the mouse is happiest.*
Trade fins for feet
for a faster trip
to the funeral.*
How long she guarded
her porcelain heart.
How quick it broke
at the lion's first touch.*
Beauty counsels: Put your mask on
and never take it off.—Razel Estrella
